#9 Herons face #8 Mules in 3rd round

The William Smith College lacrosse team will travel to Middlebury, Vermont, Saturday, May 21, for a third round game in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Herons, who are ranked ninth in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Poll, will take on Colby College, which is ranked eighth, at 2:30 p.m. at Middlebury College's Peter Kohn Field.
 
The second-ranked Panthers are one of four regional hosts for the weekend. Middlebury will take on the University of Chicago, which is 20th in the coaches poll, in Saturday's first game at 11:30 a.m. The winners will advance to the quarterfinals on Sunday, May 22. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
 
Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students. Fans unable to make it to Kohn Field in Vermont can follow the action online on the Northeast Sports Network and live dtats on athletics.middlebury.edu. The William Smith-Colby game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).
