Jarvis named Liberty League Performer of the Week

Herons back at home against Hamilton Tuesday

Senior guard Brooke Jarvis of the William Smith College basketball team was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week ahead of the Herons' nonconference matchup with Hamilton College on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Tipoff between the Herons and the Continentals is set for 7:30 p.m. in Bristol Gymnasium.

Jarvis dropped a season-high 33 points and 10 rebounds against the Yellowjackets for her second double-double of the season. She added one steal, one block and one assist in the loss.
 
Fans who cannot make it to Bristol Gymnasium Tuesday can follow the action with HWS All-Access Video and Live Stats. The games will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).

ABOUT THE HERONS
  • William Smith is 0-4 to start the season and is looking to bounce back after an 83-72 loss at Rochester on Tuesday.
  • Jarvis is averaging a league-leading 20.8 points per game, with first-year Amelia McCulley second on the team at 7.8.
  • Jarvis is third in the conference in rebounding, averaging a team-leading 9.0 rebounds per game. Junior Maddie Patrick follows with 5.5 rebounds per game.
  • Graduate student Kerstin Kelly and Patrick share the team-lead with seven assists each on the season.
ABOUT THE CONTINENTALS
  • Hamilton brings an unbeaten 5-0 record to Geneva after defeating SUNY Cortland 61-49 on Nov. 28.
  • Kendall Harris leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.4 points a game followed by Taylor Lambo with 15.4.
  • Harris averages a team-leading 9.2 rebounds per game while Lambo grabs 9.0 a game.
SERIES SNAPSHOT
  • William Smith and Hamilton will face off for the 57th time on Tuesday. The Herons lead the series 39-17, including an 18-9 record against the Continentals in Geneva.
  • Hamilton defeated William Smith 59-43 in Clinton on Nov. 29, 2022, to extend its win streak against the Herons to three.
  • Jarvis and Kelly combined for 18 points in the loss.
