The William Smith basketball team will host an action-packed conference weekend Feb. 2-3 as it welcomes Clarkson and St. Lawrence to Geneva for back-to-back Liberty League contests.
Friday's matchup with the Golden Knights is set to tipoff at 5:30 p.m. and will be a part of William Smith's celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Girls will be invited onto the court at halftime as part of the celebration and will have an opportunity to meet with current Herons after the game. Action on Saturday between the Herons and the Saints is set for 2 p.m.
From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Theo Petros Food Truck will be outside Bristol Gym serving authentic Greek food. Girls in eighth grade or younger will receive a free entrée courtesy of the Herons as part of the NGWSD activities.

ABOUT THE HERONS
- William Smith (4-15, 4-8) is 2-2 in its last four games, including road wins over the Knights and Saints.
- Senior Brooke Jarvis leads the conference in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game. She is followed by first-year Amelia McCulley with 6.9 per game.
- Jarvis grabs a team-leading 8.2 rebounds per game, which is fifth in the Liberty League.
- McCulley (6th) and Jarvis (10th) are ranked in the top-10 in the conference in blocked shots. They have combined for 38 on the season.
- First-year Jazzmyn Lewis paces the Herons in steals, averaging 2.4 per game which is second-best in the conference.
ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
- Clarkson (4-15, 2-10) is coming off a 68-51 win over Bard on Saturday.
- Cassidy Dumont leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.1 points per game. She is followed by Raelin Burns who averages 12.7.
- Bella Doyle grabs a team-leading 6.6 rebounds per game. Emma Chambers adds 5.1 rebounds per game for the Golden Knights.
- Dumont leads the Liberty League in steals, averaging 2.7 per game. She has forced 52 steals this season.
ABOUT THE SAINTSÂ
- St. Lawrence enters the weekend with an 8-10 overall record and a 7-5 mark in the Liberty League. The Saints will head to Rochester to take on RIT on Friday before heading to Geneva on Saturday.
- Elizabeth Flynn and Jackie Malley average double-digit points to lead the Saints in scoring. They average 10.8 and 10.1, respectively.
- Flynn grabs a conference-leading 12.6 rebounds per game. Caelan McHarney is second best on the team in rebounding, averaging 3.8 per game.
- St. Lawrence has three players that have 30+ assists on the season. Annie Perry, Shannon Rhone and Flynn have combined for 102 assists.
SERIES SNAPSHOT
- William Smith and Clarkson will face off for the 75th time on Friday. The Herons lead the series 54-20, including a 30-6 advantage in Bristol Gymnasium.
- When they met earlier this season, William Smith defeated Clarkson 73-56 in Potsdam. McCulley led the Herons with 18 points and five steals while Jarvis chipped in 16 points and 16 rebounds. First-year Mara Bledsoe added 13 points and seven rebounds in the win.
- William Smith and St. Lawrence will meet for the 81st time on Saturday. The Herons lead the series 43-37, including a 24-15 edge in Bristol Gymnasium.
- When they met earlier this season, William Smith defeated St. Lawrence 73-58 in Canton. Jarvis led the team with 18 points and 13 rebounds, while first-year Ava Lobozzo chipped in a career-high 14 points. Junior Molly Walsh and McCulley each added 12 points and combined for nine rebounds in the win.
