29 Honored on the Liberty All-Academic Team

The Liberty League recognized 29 Hobart and William Smith student-athletes as members of the 2023-2024 winter All-Academic Teams. The William Smith swimming and diving and William Smith basketball teams led the way with eight honorees each.
 
To be honored as a member of the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a full year in residence at their institution and hold a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average through the end of the 2023 fall semester.
 
The following Statesmen and Herons were named to the Liberty League Winter Sports All-Academic Teams:

The Hobart basketball team captured both the Liberty League regular season and tournament titles.  The Statsesmen are 22-5 overall this season and will take on No. 23 Christopher Newport in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Friday in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
 
Hobart squash finished the year ranked 21st in the nation after capturing the Summers Cup for the first time since 1990. The Statesmen finished the year with an 11-9 overall record. Three Statesmen will conclude their seasons at the College Squash Association Individual National Championships next week.
 
William Smith squash finished its season ranked 14th in the nation, posting a 12-4 overall record. The Herons were tied for third in the Kurtz Cup after falling in the semifinals to Georgetown. The Herons will also conclude their season at the CSA Individual Championships next week.  
 
William Smith swimming and diving went 4-7 in dual meets this season. The Herons finished ninth at the Liberty League Championships.
 
William Smith basketball was 7-18 this season. The Herons ended their season with an upset victory over No. 20 Vassar College on a Jarvis buzzer beater.
