The Hobart baseball team earned three awards as D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association announced their 2024 all-region teams. Junior relief pitcher
Nicholas Franceschi and senior catcher
Ty Gallagher were both named to the D3baseball.com All-Region teams, while Gallagher was also honored by the ABCA.

Franceschi represented Hobart on the D3baseball.com All-Region first team and Gallagher earned a second team nod. Additionally, Gallagher was voted to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region third team.

Franceschi appeared in a team-high 17 games this season, recording a 1.67 ERA in 27 innings. He limited opponents to a .138 batting average with 29 strikeouts. Franceschi compiled a 4-3 record with two saves.

Franceschi struck out a season-high five batters across three innings to earn the win at SUNY Cobleskill. After allowing two earned runs in his first appearance of the season, he did not allow more than one earned run in a game, finishing the season with just five earned runs on his ledger.

A second team All-Liberty League selection, Franceschi earned a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll twice. He took home the team's Pitcher of the Year Award at the annual Block H Awards Dinner.

Gallagher played in all 36 games this season, hitting a team-best .351 with 12 doubles, two triples and a pair of home runs. He led the team with 36 RBIs, 62 total bases, and 28 walks. Gallagher was second in the Liberty League with a .518 on-base percentage and ranked in the top 10 in the league in walks (4th), doubles (t-4th), OPS (6th, 1.060), RBIs (7th) and hit-by-pitch (t-5th, 15).

Gallagher had three three-hit games this season, at Purchase, at McDaniel and at nationally-ranked Ithaca. He smashed a three-run home run on his way to a season-high four RBIs against Elmira.

Gallagher also earned second team All-Liberty League recognition. He played his way onto the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll six times. He was presented with the team's Player of the Year Award for the second straight season at this year's Block H.

Hobart finished the season with a 17-19 overall record, including an 8-9 mark in Liberty League play. The Statesmen finished fourth in the Liberty League West, earning a spot in the Liberty League Crossover Series for the first time.
