On the heels of its second straight national championship, the Hobart hockey team saw 13 Statesmen garner Krampade All-American Scholar recognition from the American Hockey Coaches Association. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and appeared in 40% of the team's games.
The baker's dozen is the most All-American Scholar awards earned in a season by the Statesmen, surpassing the previous high-water mark of 12 set in 2017, the first year of the AHCA All-American Scholar program.
Hobart skated to the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship, posting a 28-2-1 overall record. The Statesmen won their final 14 games of the season and rode a 25-game unbeaten streak to the title. Hobart won the NEHC regular season championship with a 16-1-1 record and brought home its second straight NEHC Tournament title.
Of the 513 Division II-III men recognized this season, seven were also voted to the CCM/AHCA All-America teams, including Hobart first team All-American
Tanner Hartman and Statesmen second team All-Americans
Ignat Belov and
Artem Buzoverya. No other team had more than one player earn both All-American Scholar and All-American awards.
