William Smith first-year Reshika Rajarathinam will head to New York City this weekend, Jan. 25-28, to compete in the College Squash Association Individual Championships. The opening rounds will take place at Open Squash in the Financial District.
 
Rajarathinam will represent the Herons in the Holleran West Draw.
 
Rajarathinam plays at No. 1 for the Herons. She picked up her first two collegiate wins when the calendar flipped to 2025. She knocked off St. Lawrence's Angel Otshabeng, 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, 4-11, 11-5 to open the year. Rajarathinam then beat Connecticut College's Mariam Anwar, 11-3, 10-12, 11-4. She earned the Liberty League's Rookie of the Week Award following the victories.
