NEW YORK, N.Y.—William Smith first year Reshika Rajarathinam competed in the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships held in New York City this past weekend. The No. 1 player for the Herons took on Molly Stolz of Harvard at Open Squash in the Financial District to open the weekends action.

Rajarathinam kept the first game close, skillfully competing with Stolz but fell 11-7. Stolz picked up the pace in the next two games, winning 11-2, 11-2.  

Rajarathinam advanced to the consolation bracket final by default. She faced Amherst's Quincy Cline in the fifth-place match. Cline prevailed 11-4, 11-5, 11-4.

Rajaratjinam and the Herons will be back in action Friday, Jan. 31, when they head to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to take on Franklin and Marshall. Action between the Herons and the Diplomats is set for 6 p.m. at the Mayser Center.
