The Hobart and William Smith sailing team will be back in action this weekend, Oct. 25-26, competing in two fall conference championship regattas. HWS will host the War Memorial, the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association coed dinghy fall championship on Seneca Lake. William Smith sailors will compete in the MAISAWomen's Championship in Throggs Neck, New York.

The War Memorial is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Geneva. HWS will compete against Christopher Newport, Columbia, Cornell, Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, Old Dominion, Penn State, Princeton, Queen's, St. Mary's (Md.), SUNY Maritime, Merchant Marine, Navy, Penn, Virginia Tech, and Webb Institute. HWS last won the regatta in 2018.

At last year's War Memorial Regatta, HWS finished fifth with 225 points. Juan Carlos Lacerda Jones and
Frances Depke '25 placed fourth in A Division with 103 points. In B Division,
JJ Klempen,
Rachel Duggan '25, and
Cooper Delbridge finished seventh with 122 points. St.Mary's (Md.) is the reigning champion.

Hosted by SUNY Maritime, the MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy Championship is also set to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday. William Smith will compete against Columbia, Cornell, Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, Old Dominion, Princeton, St. Mary's, Merchant Marine, Navy, Penn, Virginia and William and Mary.

Last year in Norfolk, Virginia, the Herons finished fifth overall with 149 points.
Deana Fedulova and
Olivia Wilkins placed fourth for the Herons in B Division with 59 points. In A Division,
Elizabeth Starck '25 and
Ella Donaldson were sixth with 90 points.
