For the second straight week, Hobart senior goalie Damon Beaver was named the SUNYAC Men's Hockey Goaltender of the Week. In addition, Hobart was ranked first in the USCHO.com poll, receiving all 20 first place votes.
 
The Statesmen, who are ranked No. 1 for the 35th consecutive poll, went 2-0-0 in conference play last weekend. They defeated Potsdam 6-4 and Canton 4-0 as they improved to 8-0-0 on the season and 4-0-0 in SUNYAC play.
 
Beaver picked up his second straight goalie of the week award after stopping all 17 shots he faced in the shutout of  The Roos. He has posted two consecutive shutouts and has only allowed one goal in his last 180 minutes of work. Beaver is 5-0-0 this season with a 0.72 GAA and a .960 save percentage. Saturday was his 21st career shutout, moving him into second on the NCAA Division III career shutout list.
 
After the Thanksgiving break, Hobart will be back in action on Dec. 6, when it takes on sixth-ranked Oswego. Faceoff in Oswego, New York, is scheduled for 7 p.m.
