TRUXTON, N.Y. – The Hobart Alpine Skiing team was back on the slopes this Saturday, Feb 15, for the last weekend of USCSA regular season competition on Labrador Mountain. Sunday's slalom race was canceled due to the winter storm.
The Statesmen finished first in Saturday's giant slalom, finishing with a team time of 4:17.22, nearly seven seconds faster than second place Colgate. In a race that included 56 racers, first-year
Will Patton continued his dominant rookie season with another first place finish and a combined time of 1:23.66. Sophomore
Ethan Hine took second place with a combined time of 1:24.96.
Hobart finished the regular season in first place in the Mideast Conference with a total of nine points. Second place Colgate and third place Syracuse finished with 25 and 29 points respectively.

The Statesmen are back in action next weekend, Feb 22-23, as they compete in the USCSA Mideast Conference Regional Championships at Bristol Mountain. The giant slalom championship will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and the slalom championship begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
