The William Smith lacrosse team, which is ranked in the top 10 in both major lacrosse polls, will be back in action on Wednesday, March 26, when it heads to Pittsford, New York, to take on St. John Fisher at 4 p.m.

The Herons are 5-2 overall and ranked eighth in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and ninth in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll. After dropping a tightly contested 10-8 battle to third-ranked Franklin and Marshall, William Smith opened Liberty League play with a 7-4 win over Union and a 16-9 victory over RPI.

The Cardinals, who are 18th in the IWLCA Poll and 14th in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll, are 6-0 to begin the season. St. John Fisher is coming off a 15-10 victory over Ithaca on Saturday. Ellie Leisen had four goals to lead the Cardinals.

- William Smith is led offensively by senior Katherine Murray's 21 goals, eight assists and 29 points.
- Sophomore Kira Fulton is second on the team with 20 points.
- Junior Natalie Daniels leads the Herons with 39 draw controls. Sophomore Kayla Quirk, who was named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, has 16 draw controls and adds seven points on five goals and two assists.

- Maura Smeader has played every minute in goal. She is 5-2 with a 7.43 GAA and a .527 save percentage.
