Two members of the Hobart swimming and diving team were named to the 2024-2025 Academic All-District® NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Teams selected by the College Sports Communicators. Sophomores Rupert Ramsay and Christopher Woody were this year's recipients.

CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least one full calendar year at their current institution, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and participate in at least five competitions or finish top eight at a conference championship meet.

An international relations major, Ramsay earned a spot on the Academic All-District® team for the first time of his career after also earning his first career Liberty League All-Academic selection.

From the diving boards, Ramsay collected five top five finishes from the 1-meter board and four top five finishes from the 3-meter board. He finished second from both boards against Roberts Wesleyan and Fredonia. Most recently, Ramsay finished 10th from the 1-meter board (309.20) and 11th from the 3-meter board at the Liberty League Championships in February. His 1-meter dive at the conference championships was a personal best.

An environmental studies major, Woody also secured his first career Academic All-District® team selection after being recognized as a Liberty League All-Academic for the first time.

In the pool, Woody is a versatile swimmer, utilizing his talents in several different events, including freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. This season, he swam to personal bests in the 50-yard freestyle (24.18) against RIT and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.79) and the 200 individual medley (2:10.20) at the Don Richards Invitational. His season was highlighted by six first place finishes as he secured wins in the 50 and 100 breaststroke against St. Lawrence, the 50 and 100 breaststroke against Oswego, the 200 IM against Roberts Wesleyan and the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley against Fredonia.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 23.
