IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. – The Hobart golf team was back in action on Monday as it competed in the Nazareth Spring Invitational at Irondequoit Country Club. Four Statesmen finished top-10 at the invitational, leading Hobart to a second place finish out of six teams after shooting +43 as a team.

Junior Charlie Craig led the Statesmen as he finished tied for third at +8 on the afternoon. Craig carded an 80 on the 72-par course, finishing tied with Nazareth's Thomas McIntosh. Sophomore Alex Moesch finished close behind at +11 and tied for seventh out of 34 golfers.

Junior Jake Romney and sophomore Gavin Poyer finished +12 on the afternoon, coming in a tie for ninth overall. First-year Robby Kurzer rounded out Hobart's squad with a 14th place finish after shooting +14 at the invitational.

Nazareth won the team title after combining for +30 as a team, while the Golden Flyer's "B" team finished third after shooting +48 as a team. The winning side produced the top three finishers, including the individual medalists Vincent Falgiatano and Anthony Falgiantano who both finished six over par.

Hobart will be back in action April 25-27, when it travels to Verona, N.Y. to compete in the Liberty League Championships. Action will begin at 8 a.m. at Turning Stone's Shenendoah Golf Course.
