The Hobart tennis team will welcome St. Lawrence to Geneva on Saturday, April 26, for its last home match of the season. First serve between the Statesmen and the Saints is set for 2 p.m. at the HWS Tennis Center. 

Hobart enters the match with a 9-8 overall record and is 4-2 in the Liberty League after recording a 6-1 win last Wednesday against RIT. St. Lawrence brings an 8-12 record to Geneva following a 7-0 loss to RPI on April 19.

ABOUT THE STATESMEN: 

• Senior Hyat Oyer leads the team with an 10-7 record in dual match singles play, including a 6-5 record in the No. 1 spot. 
• Senior Nick Grosso follows close behind Oyer with a 9-6 record in singles play and an 8-6 record at No. 3.  
• Oyer and senior Rahul Vallabhajosula lead the team in doubles play with a 10-4 dual match record, including a 5-3 record from the No. 2 spot.
• The pairing of Grosso and junior Nick Fischer are 6-6 in dual match doubles play and are 5-6 from the No. 1 spot.  

ABOUT THE SAINTS: 

• St. Lawrence is led by Edvin Strandberg, who is 8-7 in dual match singles play in the No. 1 spot. 
• The Saints are highlighted by the doubles duo of Strandberg and John Hill-Edgar who are 11-5 in the No. 1 spot.  
• The pairing of Broderick Pinto and Jake David are 10-8 in dual match doubles play, holding a 9-7 record in the No. 2 spot. 

ABOUT THE SERIES: 

• This will be the 45th matchup between the Statesmen and the Saints. Hobart leads the series 27-18, including an 11-10 advantage in Geneva. 
• Hobart has won nine in a row against St. Lawrence, including a 9-0 victory in Canton last season.
• Oyer and Fischer recorded wins in both doubles and singles play to lead the Statesmen.
