4 Statesmen earn All-USCHO Recognition

Four members of the national champion Hobart Hockey team were named to the All-USCHO teams today. The Statesmen's four selections were tied for the most by any team.
 
Junior forward Tanner Daniels and graduate student defenseman Austin Mourar earned first team recognition. This is the third straight year that a Statesman has been named to the All-USCHO first team. Junior goalie Damon Beaver was placed on the second team for the second straight year. Beaver also received first team recognition as a first year. Senior forward Luke Aquaro collected honorable mention.
 
Daniels played in all 31 games this season. The 2024-25 CCM/AHCA First Team All-American led Hobart with 18 goals, 22 assists and 40 points. Daniels, the 2025 NEHC Player of the Year, shared the team lead with five game-winning goals. He recorded 13 multi-point games, including a goal and an assist against Norwich in the NEHC Championship Game on his way to being named the tournament's MVP. Daniels finished the year fifth in the nation in game-winning goals, ninth in short-handed goals, 18th in points per game (1.29), 22nd in goals per game (0.58) and 33rd in points per game (0.71).
 
Daniels has played in 88 career games, producing 33 goals, 47 assists and 80 points.
 
Mourar, who was also a 2024-25 CCM/AHCA First Team All-American, played all 31 games on the blueline for the Statesmen. He was fifth on the team with 21 points, recording nine goals and 12 assists. A key part of Hobart's defense, Mourar blocked 21 shots. He finished the year 10th in the nation in power-play goals (6). Mourar had three multi-point games on the season. In addition to being a first team All-American, Mourar earned a spot on the NEHC All-Tournament Team and was a first team All-NEHC pick.
 
Mourar played in a Hobart record 118 career games, recording 74 points on 31 goals and 43 assists.
 
Beaver, the 2024 NEHC Goaltender of the Year, was 17-1-1 this season with a 1.14 GAA, a .952 save percentage and five shutouts. He earned 2024-25 CCM/AHCA Second Team All-American recognition. Beaver was second in the nation in GAA and save percentage and fourth in shutouts. He made a season-high 39 saves in the national championship game against Utica. Beaver had 31 saves against Oswego in the season-opener.
 
The 2023 USCHO Rookie of the Year, Beaver has played in 58 career games. He is 53-4-1 with a 1.03 GAA and a .956 save percentage. He already holds Hobart's career records for wins and shutouts. Beaver also holds Hobart's single-season record for save percentage (.962 in 2023-24), wins (18 twice) and shutouts (7 twice).
 
Beaver and Mourar played key roles in Hobart's defense which finished the year first in the nation in scoring defense (1.03). The Statesmen allowed just 32 goals in 31 games, nearly half a goal a game fewer than second-place Curry (1.48).  The 32 goals are the second-fewest allowed in a season by Hobart in program history.
 
A captain, Aquaro earns All-USCHO honors for the first time. He played in all 31 games this season finishing second on the team with 16 goals and 34 points. Aquaro's 18 assists are fourth on the team. He had 11 multi-point games, including two goals in Hobart's come-from-behind win over Trine in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. Aquaro had three points on a goal and two assists in a regular season win over Norwich. Aquaro was third in the NEHC in points per game (1.10) and fourth in goals per game (0.52).
 
A two-time CCM/AHCA All-American, Aquaro played in 11 career games, recording 70 goals, 64 assists and 134 points. He finished his career tied for third on Hobart's career goals list, fourth in points and sixth in assists and games played. Aquaro was the 2023 NEHC Player of the Year.
 
Hobart concluded the season with a 29-1-1 overall record. The 29 wins matched the program's single-season record. The Statesmen are the first team to win three-straight titles since Middlebury did it from 2004-2006. With a 16-0-0 record on home ice, Hobart extended its winning streak to 53 games at The Cooler.
