#13 William Smith faces #8 York in 3rd round

The William Smith lacrosse team will travel to Middlebury, Vermont, on Saturday, May 17, for a third round game in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Herons, 13th in the latest IWLCA Poll, will take on York (Pa.), which is ranked eighth, at 2:30 p.m. at Middlebury's Peter Kohn Field.
 
The top-ranked Panthers are one of four regional hosts for the weekend. Middlebury will take on 21st-ranked Chicago at 11:30 a.m. The winners advance to the quarterfinals on Sunday, May 14. The quarterfinal round game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
 
Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Bostwick Family Squash Lobby and behind the pickleball courts. Tickets will be and 6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors each day. Children three and under are free.
 
Fans who cannot make the trip can follow all the action online with NCAA Championships Pass and Live Stats. The game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7).
