The Hobart baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack, for its exceptional efforts in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year. The Statesmen produced a cumulative 3.46 GPA.
 
The award is presented to all college and high school baseball teams with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. This year, 750 teams were recognized across all levels of college and high school baseball.
 
On the diamond, Hobart produced its first winning season since returning to varsity status in 2023, finishing the year with an 18-17 overall record. The last time the Statesmen had a winning record was 1994 (27-10).
 
In the classroom, Hobart was led by three Academic All-District selections: seniors Nate Johnson and Griffin Snyder and junior Christian Petry. They were joined by 16 of their teammates on the 2025 Liberty League All-Academic Team.
 
Hobart also earned the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award following the 2024 season with a 3.19 GPA.
