UTICA, N.Y.—Sophomore
Duncan Kipkoech led the Hobart cross country team to victory today in the 8-kilometer SUNY Poly Wildcat Weekend Classic.
Kipkoech led the 67-runner field to the finish line, stopping the clock at 27:17.3, 30.9 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. It was his first collegiate victory. Sophomore

Malachi Quinn (29:07.5) and senior
Sean Moran (29:36.9) also ran to top 10 finishes, placing sixth, seventh and ninth, respectively.

- Hobart finished the meet with 29 points, 14 ahead of second place St. John Fisher.
- Hudson Valley CC was third followed by Hartwick, Potsdam, Keuka and SUNY Poly.

- The Statesmen will have a week off before returning to action Oct. 11 in the Houghton Highlander Invitational.
