The Hobart and William Smith Squash teams will be back in action this weekend, Feb 14-15, when they head to Canton, New York, to compete in the 2026 Liberty League Squash Championship. St. Lawrence will host both the men's and women's tournament at the Robie Squash Center. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

FOR THE HERONS
The Herons have captured five Liberty League championships and are looking to claim their first title since 2024. William Smith will compete in a round robin and was drawn into a group with Bard and St. Lawrence. The Herons open the tournament against Bard at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. William Smith will then play 20th-ranked St. Lawrence at 12:30 p.m. The Herons' third opponent on the weekend, will be determined based on their finish in their group.

Graduate student Jada Smith-Padmore leads the Herons with three wins this season. Smith-Padmore's victory in the No. 1 spot helped William Smith knock off Vassar 7-2. Smith-Padmore was named the Liberty League Women's Squash Performer of the Week earlier this month. Senior Jess Finnerty and sophomore Kimberly Javier each added two victories to the team's total.

The host Saints are the defending champions.

Semifinals and consolation matches will be played in the afternoon on Saturday. The Statesmen will play either Bard or Denison in their second match. Sunday's match time will depend on Saturday's results.
