The Hobart volleyball team will travel to Springfield, Massachusetts, this weekend to compete in the 2026 Morgan Classic.
Additionally, the Statesmen landed at No. 20 in this week's AVCA national poll. It's the fourth-straight week Hobart has been ranked after going 2-1 in the Statesmen Tournament last weekend.

ABOUT THE STATESMEN:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Hobart enters the weekend with a 5-5 record after sweeping New Jersey City and Nazareth and falling in four-sets to Trine over the weekend.
- Junior Daniel Sappia leads Hobart in kills per set (2.53) and points per set (2.71). Juniors Aiden Kemora and Noah DeLong follow close behind in points per set, averaging 2.66 and 2.59, respectively.
- First-year Harry Fromberg was named UVC Co-Rookie of the Week after combining for 24 kills (.386), 15 digs, seven blocks and one assist, averaging 2.40 kills per set, 1.50 digs per set, 0.70 blocks per set and 2.90 points per set in 10 sets this past weekend.
- Junior Zack Farren leads the Statesmen from the setter position, averaging 4.78 assists per set. First-year Charlie Dugan follows close behind averaging 4.70 assists per set.
- On the defensive end, Hobart is led by junior libero Gavin Meador who averages 1.94 digs per set and sophomore Kian Kischke who averages 0.97 blocks per set.
ABOUT THE RANGERS:
- Drew enters the weekend with a 7-3 overall record and is riding a four-match win streak.
- Matthew Adegbite leads the Rangers offensively, averaging 2.97 kills per set and 3.39 points per set.
- Quinn Donahue averages a team-leading 8.38 assists per set.
- Defensively, Jason Barbosa leads the team averaging 2.27 digs per set, while Michael Shipman leads in blocking with 32 blocks on the season.
- This will be the second matchup between the Statesmen and the Rangers after Hobart defeated Drew 3-2 on Jan. 27, 2024.
ABOUT THE PRIDE:
- Springfield enters the weekend with a 4-1 record after winning a five-set thriller against Vassar last weekend.
- The Pride is the top-ranked team in the AVCA poll for the fourth week in a row.
- Carter Durivage averages a team-leading 2.91 kills per set, while AJ Seveland follows close behind with 2.56. Seveland also leads the Pride in points per set (3.56).
- Setter Dylan Mulvaney contributes a team-leading 8.06 assists per set.
- On the defensive end, Ricardo Ortiz averages 1.53 digs per set, while Will Kirchhoff adds 0.71 blocks per set.
- If the Statesmen and the Pride meet on Saturday, it will be the first meeting in program history between the two sides.
ABOUT THE DUCKS
- Stevens enters the weekend undefeated with a 7-0 record after defeating Lasell and Kean on Saturday.
- The Ducks are ranked third in this week's AVCA poll after climbing three spots last week.
- Julius Stiemer averages a team-leading 3.71 kills per set and 5.04 points per set. Alex Olcott adds 2.87 kills per set and 3.10 points per set for Stevens.
- Setter Nick Schmidt leads the team with 8.95 assists per set.
- Defensively, the Ducks are led by Dominic Ambrose's 2.26 digs per set and Tyler Hoke's 0.89 blocks per set.
- If Hobart and Stevens meet on Saturday, it will be the second meeting in program history. The Ducks won 3-0 against the Statesmen on Feb. 14, 2025. Â
