6 Statesmen earn All-USCHO Recognition

Six members of the Hobart Hockey team were named to the All-USCHO teams today. The Statesmen's six selections were the most by any team.
 
Seniors Damon Beaver and Kahlil Fontana and junior Conor Lally earned first team recognition. This is the fourth straight year that a Statesman has been named to the All-USCHO first team. Sophomore Arvega Hovsepyan and senior Tanner Daniels were selected to the second and third teams, respectively and junior Bauer Morrissey collected honorable mention praise.
 
The 2026 Sid Watson Award Winner, Beaver played in 21 games this season, posting a 20-1-0 record with a 0.99 GAA, a .951 save percentage and seven shutouts. Beaver made 20-plus saves in a game 10 times this season, including a season-high 30 saves in a 4-0 shutout against then No. 13 Oswego in the SUNYAC Championship game. Beaver finished the year first in the nation in winning percentage (.952), GAA, save percentage and shutouts (7). He set the Hobart single-season record for wins (20) and matched his own program record for shutouts (7).
 
Beaver left his mark all over the Hobart records book during his four-year career. He finished his career with a 73-5-1 overall record, a 1.02 GAA, a .955 save percentage and 26 shutouts. Beaver holds the program record for wins, shutouts and save percentage. He broke the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Record for shutouts and finished fifth in wins. Beaver is second in Hobart and NCAA Division III history in GAA to his teammate Mavrick Goyer. Beaver was second team All-USCHO in 2024 and 2025 and was the USCHO Rookie of the Year in 2023.
 
An AHCA All-America East first team selection, Fontana played in all 31 games this season. He led the team with 21 goals and was second with 42 points. A captain, Fontana finished the year seventh in the nation in power-play goals (7), ninth in game-winning goals (4), 13th in goals per game (0.68) and 18th in points per game (1.35).  An NCAA All-Tournament team selection, Fontana scored in the national championship game against Hamilton. He also matched Hobart's single-game record with four goals against Skidmore.
 
The 2025 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, Fontana played in 116 career games, recording 88 points on 42 goals and 46 assists. He is third on Hobart's career list for games played.
 
An assistant captain, Lally also earned AHCA All-America East first team honors. He played in all 31 games, recording 39 points on 14 goals and 25 assists. Lally finished the season 23rd in the nation in assists per game (0.81) and was 26th in points per game (1.26). He earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team, finishing the three games with two goals and an assist. Lally had 10 multi-point games. On the defensive end of the rink, he had 14 blocked shots and was a key part of  Hobart's defensive unit that was first in the nation in scoring defense (0.97) and finished the year fourth in penalty-killing percentage (.906).
 
Lally has played in 90 career games over the last three seasons. He has 75 career points on 20 goals and 55 assists.
 
Hovsepyan was also an AHCA All-America East first team selection. The transfer from Salve Regina made an immediate impact on Hobart's lineup and quickly became the Statesman's top playmaker this season. Hovsepyan finished the year with a team-high 43 points on 11 goals and a Hobart season record 32 assists. He was fourth in the nation in assists per game (1.03) and 13th in points per game (1.39). Hovsepyan had two assists in Hobart's victory over UW-Stout in the national semifinals.

Hovsepyan has played in 57 career games between Hobart and Salve Regina. He has 79 points on 19 goals and 60 assists.
 
Hobart's other captain, Daniels, earned AHCA All-America East second team praise this season. He played in all 31 games, compiling 37 points on 16 goals and 21 assists. Daniels recorded a goal and an assist in the NCAA quarterfinal victory over St. Norbert, which was one of his 12 multi-point games on the season. He was 18th in the nation in power-play goals (6).

A two-time AHCA All-American, Daniels played in 119 games during his career, setting the Hobart record for games played when he took his first shift against Hamilton in the national championship game. Daniels had 49 goals, 68 assists and 117 points during his career. He is fourth on Hobart's career list in assists and eighth in points.
 
Morrissey earned All-USCHO recognition for the second time in his career. He played in all 31 games this season, tallying 24 points on seven goals and 17 assists. Morrissey recorded a pair of assists in the NCAA tournament and had a season-high three assists in a win over Skidmore.

Morrissey was named to the USCHO All-Rookie team as a first-year. He has played in 89 career games, notching 74 points on 15 goals and 59 assists.
 
Hobart finished the 2025-26 season with a 30-1-0 record after falling 2-1 in overtime to Hamilton in the national championship game.  On Monday, the Statesmen were ranked second in the USCHO.com end-of-season poll and received three of the 20 first place votes. Hobart's 30 wins this season were a new program record, and its 36-game winning streak and 43-game unbeaten streak entering the title tilt were also new program records. Beaver, Goyer and Connor Shibley combined to set an NCAA Division III record with 14 shutouts this.
