The Hobart and William Smith sailing team earned a pair of at-large bids to the InterCollegiate Sailing Association Fleet Race Championships. William Smith sailors earned one of 24 at-large bids to the Women's Fleet Race, May 15-18. HWS also earned one of 24 at-large bids to the Open Fleet Race Championship, May 19-22. Both regattas will be held in Tampa, Florida.

In the women's championship, Cornell, Georgetown, Michigan, Northwestern, Yale, Brown, Stanford, Western Washington, College of Charleston, South Florida, Tulane and Texas A&M earned automatic bids. The Herons were ranked 16th by the selection committee.

At the end of March, William Smith finished fourth at the MAISA Women's Fleet Race Championship in Kings Point, New York. Sophomores
Sabrina Starck and
Olivia Wilkins were fourth in B Division, finishing the weekend with 80 points. Juniors
Maya Mahoney and
Ella Donaldson and sophomore
Deana Fedulova were fifth in A Division with 75 points.

Last year, the Herons were 12th in the Eastern Semifinal in St. Mary's City, Maryland.

In the open championship, Pennsylvania, Navy, Wisconsin, Michigan, Harvard, Brown, Stanford, San Diego State, College of Charleston, Jacksonville, Tulane and Texas A&M earned the automatic bids. HWS was ranked 20th by the selection committee.
