The Hobart volleyball team will conclude its regular season against No. 1 Springfield on Saturday, April 4. Action between the Statesmen and the Pride is set for 1 p.m. in Bristol Gym.
Saturday will also be Hobart's Senior Day. The Statesmen will honor seniors
Harrison Keena and
Nico Diaz-Aguilar with a brief ceremony prior to first serve.
ABOUT THE STATESMEN:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Hobart enters the weekend with a 13-12 overall record following two five-set matches last weekend. The Statesmen defeated then No. 8 New Paltz and a lost to then No. 7 NYU to conclude conference play with a program-best 5-2 record.
- Junior Noah DeLong leads Hobart in points per set, averaging 2.81 and averages a team-leading 2.34 kills per set. First-year Harry Fromberg follows close behind, averaging 2.68 points per set and 2.34 kills per set, while junior Aiden Kemora chips in 2.24 kills per set and 2.63 points per set.
- Kemora was named the UVC Co-Player of the Week after two dominating performances last week. In 10 sets, Kemora averaged 3.50 kills per set, 1.40 digs per set and 3.65 points per set.
- Junior Zack Farren leads the Statesmen from the setter position, averaging 4.75 assists per set. First-years Charlie Dugan and Tor Boughal follow close behind, averaging 4.49 and 3.70 assists per set each, respectively.
- On the defensive end, Hobart is led by junior libero Gavin Meador, who averages 2.33 digs per set. Meador tallied a career-high 23 digs in the win over the Hawks on Friday. Junior Daniel Sappia adds 1.32 digs per set while sophomore Kian Kischke averages a team-leading 0.88 blocks per set. Kischke also leads the conference in service aces per set, averaging 0.49.
ABOUT THE PRIDE:
- Springfield enters the weekend with a 20-3 overall record and is coming off a five-set win over No. 13 Wentworth on Wednesday.
- Offensively, Carter Durivage leads Springfield with 3.03 kills per set while Sam Levinson leads with 3.40 points per set.
- Dylan Mulvaney averages a team-leading 9.74 assists per set.
- Defensively, Ricardo Ortiz leads the team in digs averaging 1.96 per set, while Brennan Cutter leads in blocking, averaging 0.81 on the season.
SERIES HISTORY:
- This will be the second matchup between Hobart and Springfield this season.
- Last time they met, the Pride defeated the Statesmen 3-0 on Feb. 7, 2026. Kemora led the Statesmen with eight kills and five digs. Kemora and Kischke were named to the All-Tournament team after two strong performances at the Morgan Classic.
