The Hobart volleyball team will be back in action this weekend as it travels to New Paltz, New York, for the 2026 United Volleyball Conference Championship.
The fourth-seeded Statesmen will take on fifth-seeded Vassar in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 11, at 5 p.m. The winner will advance to take on top-seeded New Paltz the following day at 2:30 p.m. in the semifinals.
Tickets will be sold at the door and will be cash only. Adults are $7, while seniors and students with ID's are $5. Children under the age of 12 are free.

- Hobart enters the weekend with a 13-13 overall record following a loss to No. 1 Springfield in its regular season finale.
- Junior Noah DeLong leads Hobart in points, averaging 2.84 per set and averages a team-leading 2.35 kills per set. First-year Harry Fromberg follows close behind, averaging 2.66 points per set and 2.32 kills per set, while junior Aiden Kemora chips in 2.22 kills per set and 2.61 points per set.
- Junior Zack Farren leads the Statesmen from the setter position, averaging 4.74 assists per set. First-years Charlie Dugan and Tor Boughal follow close behind, averaging 4.49 and 3.63 assists per set, respectively.
- On the defensive end, Hobart is led by junior libero Gavin Meador's 2.31 digs per set. Junior Daniel Sappia adds 1.33 digs per set while sophomore Kian Kischke averages a team-leading 0.87 blocks per set. Kischke leads the league in service aces, averaging 0.48 per set.
ABOUT THE BREWERS:
- Vassar enters the weekend with a 17-9 overall record and is coming off back-to-back 3-1 wins over No. 3 Stevens and Elizabethtown.
- The Brewers are ranked No. 18 in this week's AVCA national poll.
- Offensively, Henry Bonney leads Vassar with 3.42 kills per set and 3.99 points per set. Walter Birnbaum follows close behind averaging 3.34 points per set.
- Parker Schoenl averages a team-leading 7.60 assists per set.
- Defensively, Casey McMenamin leads the team in digs averaging 2.24 per set, while Armaan Desai leads in blocking, averaging 1.19 per set.
SERIES HISTORY:
- This will be the fifth matchup between Hobart and Vassar in program history. The series is split 2-2 with the Brewers holding a 1-0 edge at neutral sites.
- Last time they met, Hobart defeated Vassar 3-2 on Feb. 20, 2026, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Kemora led the Statesmen with 18 kills (.212), three digs and one block.
