3 Statesmen honored by Liberty League

For their contributions in a 38-13 win over WPI this past Saturday, the Liberty League office honored three members of the Hobart football team. Junior linebacker Reggie Robinson was tabbed the Co-Defensive Performer of the Week, junior kicker Conor Callahan won a Co-Special Teams Performer of the Week, and first-year safety Devin Worthington earned Co-Rookie of the Week.

Robinson tailed eight tackles against the Engineers, including six solo, bringing his season total to 65. He also recorded a 41-yard interception, his third of the season. Currently, Robinson is fourth in the Liberty League in both interceptions and tackles.

Callahan converted on all five PATs against WPI and kicked a 20-yard field goal. His final PAT of the day tied the Hobart record for most consecutive PATs made at 40. Callahan is 30-for-30 in PATs this season and tied for first in the Liberty League in PAT percentage. Callahan is also fourth in the league in overall with 39 points.

Worthington finished the contest with eight tackles, in addition to recording a 53-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Worthington has posted 58 tackles this season and leads the Liberty League in tackles for loss with an average of 2.29 per game.

Currently, the Statesmen (5-2, 3-1) lead the Liberty League in scoring (32.4 ppg), passing offense (233.0 yds/g), pass efficiency (127.5), total offense (388.6 yds/g), red zone offense (77.3%), third down conversion (36.5%), and PAT kicking (100%), punt returns (12.1 yds/ret), and kickoff coverage (17.0 yds allowed/ret).

Hobart is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 6 when the Statesmen travel to Rensselaer to face the Engineers. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.
