GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith swimming and diving team lost to regional power Ithaca in Bristol Pool tonight. The Herons got victories from junior Lauren Morosky and first-year Lia Duffy, but the Bombers left with a 155-84 victory.

After Ithaca (4-0) won the first three events of the meet, Morosky captured the 50-yard freestyle in 26.74 seconds, nearly 4 tenths of a second ahead of the runner up. The Bombers came right back with three more victories before Duffy won the 100 free in 57.65, more than a second and a half in front of the field.

Ithaca closed out the meet with four more victories. The Bombers' Jodi Costello was the lone dual winner, capturing the 1-meter (213.35) and 3-meter (237.15) diving events.

William Smith will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 13, when the Herons travel to Alfred. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
