GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith College squash team fell to 18th-ranked Franklin & Marshall 9-0 this morning in the Smith Squash Center. The Herons, currently ranked 24th, move to 7-7 overall.
Sophomore
Katie Riordan paced the Herons with a hard-fought match at No. 8. Through three games Riordan held a 2-1 lead, posting scores of 11-9, 4-11, and 11-8, but Franklin & Marshall's Stephanie Tzarnas came back to win the final two, 11-2, 11-2.
The William Smith squash team will be back in action on Feb. 13, when the Herons travel to Hamilton for a match at noon.
