Seven members of the William Smith swimming and diving team earned a spot on the 2009-10 Liberty League All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for the all-academic team, student-athletes must have a full year of attendance at their institution, and carry at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.

The following Herons were named to the team:

• Senior Lauren Jack, economics major *
• Sophomore Amy Kievit, undeclared
• Sophomore Caitlin O'Brien, undeclared
• Senior Charlotte Scott, environmental studies major *
• Junior Lindsay Simonson, environmental studies major *
  

William Smith recorded its best finish at the state championships since 2006, placing 10th out of 17 teams. The Herons also posted a 6-2 dual meet record and won the Skidmore Invitational.
