HOUGHTON, N.Y.—The Hobart College cross country team finished in 10th place in the 2010 Highlander Invitational held at Houghton College this afternoon. The Statesmen were led by first-year Josh Kirkman who finished 57th out of 146 runners.
Kirkman crossed the finish line of the 8-kilometer course in 27 minutes, 53.81 seconds. First-year
Nick Schmidt was the next Hobart runner to finish. He claimed 70th place and recorded a time of 28:19.54. First-year
Greg Mathieu placed 94th with a time of 29:21.70.
Junior
Shaun Viguerie claimed 99th place finishing in 29:43.50. Rounding out the top 5 finishers for the Statesmen was senior
Ross Hicks. He finished 103rd with a time of 29:55.08.
Hobart will next compete in the Geneseo Invitational on Oct. 2 at noon.
