Wendy's College Classic | Tournament bracket

The William Smith basketball team will take on Nazareth on the Golden Flyers home court in the first round of the Wendy's College Classic. The Herons will make the short trip to Pittsford, N.Y., for an 8 p.m. tipoff on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

William Smith enters the tournament with a 1-1 record. Sophomore guards Liz Douglass and Sasha Borenstein lead the team in scoring, producing 16.5 ppg. Sophomore guard Jacqueline Murphy is contributing 10.0 ppg and a team best 12.5 rpg.

Nazareth is 2-2. This will be the first meeting between the Herons and Golden Flyers since Nov. 25, 2008. William Smith won that game 60-55 in Geneva.

The Herons are 16-2 all-time in the Wendy's Classic, winning championships in 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2000. William Smith finished third in its other two Classic appearances in 1999 and last season.
