The William Smith basketball team will close out 2011 in the Posada Royale Holiday Classic in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The Herons will face Albion in the first round on Friday, Dec. 30 and Rivier in the second round on Saturday, Dec. 31. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 5 p.m. (2 p.m. EST).

The tournament host, California Lutheran, will provide live video and live stats for both games.

The Herons (4-3) headed into the holiday break with a 78-70 victory at Cortland. William Smith is ranked in the top 25 in the nation in 3-point field goals made (eighth, 8.1/g), assist-to-turnover ratio (13th, 1.04), and assists per game (24th, 16.9).
