GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College tennis team swept doubles play and went on to secure a 7-2 victory over visiting Nazareth in a match played on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House at the Caird Center for Sports and Recreation this afternoon.
The Statesmen improved to 11-3 overall, matching their win total from last season. Nazareth is now 3-8 overall.

Kevin Bates to record a 9-8 (7-5) victory at No. 2, and the Statesmen won by default at No. 3.
Bates registered his second win of the day sweeping his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. First-year
Michael Fields clinched the victory for Hobart with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 4. Senior
Walter Green edged Bret Beaver 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 to extend his win streak to 10 matches. Junior
Peter Cruice won by default at No. 6 to round out the Hobart lineup.
The Statesmen will be back in action on Thursday, April 5 when they host Rochester at 4 p.m.
