Kathleen Ragan logged a game-high six points on four goals and two assists, as the Heron lacrosse team downed host Bard 17-3 in a Liberty League game played this afternoon in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y.
William Smith is now 8-6 overall and 5-2 in the Liberty League. The Raptors fall to 6-10 overall and 0-8 in conference play.

Brianna Bean, Mary-Elizabeth Clair, and Stephanie LaMont each scored for Bard. Lamont won a team-high four draws. Maddy Huggins played all 60 minutes in goal and made eight stops. She also picked up a team-high four ground balls.
William Smith jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the game. Ragan logged all six of her points in the opening surge and Sipple and Connolly each tallied a goal and an assist. At 16:47, Lamont broke through for Bard with an unassisted tally. In a man-up situation for the Herons, Calder fed Potter to make it 8-1 with 6:47 left in the first. Clair found the back of the net after a pass from Joanna Regan for Bard's second goal with 1:46 on the clock. Calder logged her eighth goal of the year with seven seconds remaining in the first to make it 9-2.

India Tibbetts scored her first collegiate goal 3:05 into the second. Sophomore
Hayley Braun found the back of the net for the fifth time this spring at 6:57. At 12:56, Bean capitalized on a Bard man-up with a free position goal.

The Herons held a 33-10 advantage in shots, a 25-14 lead in ground balls and a 14-8 edge in draws. William Smith was successful on 12-of-14 clear attempts, and Bard finished 6-for-14 on clears.
The Herons will be back on action on Friday, April 26, when they host Rensselaer for a Liberty League game at 4 p.m.
