The William Smith College lacrosse team will play its final games of the regular season this weekend. The Herons will take on Rensselaer on Friday, April 26 at 4 p.m. on Boswell Field. On Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m., William Smith will square off with Skidmore.
The Herons bring an 8-6 overall record and a 5-2 mark in the Liberty League into the weekend. William Smith is currently sitting in third place in the conference standings. Sophomore
Katie Sipple leads the Herons with 58 points on 22 goals and a team-high 36 assists. Sipple ranks 23rd in the nation with 2.57 assists per game and is tied for 24th in the nation in total assists. Senior

Rachel Hughes has grabbed 48 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers. First-year
Marina Guigli has played the majority of minutes in goal and is sporting a 10.82 goals against average and a .456 save percentage.
No. 16 Rensselaer brings an 11-2 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in the Liberty League to Geneva. The Engineers are riding a five-game win streak and sit atop the conference standings. Erin Riley leads the team with 41 points on 25 goals and 16 assists. Alissa Peterson has produced a team-high 33 goals and added six assists. Rachel Scofield has picked up a team-high 19 ground balls and Shannon Maguire has rallied 55 draws. Allie Arnal has played the majority of minutes in goal and is sporting a .560 save percentage and a 6.85 goals against average.
Skidmore brings a 3-11 overall mark and a 2-5 record in league play into the weekend. The Thoroughbreds travel to take on Union in another Liberty League contest on Friday afternoon. Going into the weekend, Lexi Melville leads the team with 45 points on 43 goals and two assists. Caroline Bowne leads the team with 37 draws and 14 caused turnovers. Shelby Witheford has played every minute in goal and is sporting a .336 save percentage and a 14.02 goals against average. She also leads the team with 28 ground balls.
