The William Smith College basketball team will be the No. 4 seed in the 22nd annual Wendy's College Classic when it tips off on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The Herons will face No. 5 St. John Fisher at 8 p.m. on the Cardinals' home floor.
Rochester is the top seed and will play No. 8 Brockport. No. 2 Roberts Wesleyan will take on No. 7 RIT, and No. 3 Geneseo will face No. 6 Nazareth.
In the 2013 Wendy's College Classic, the Herons lost their opening round game to St. John Fisher 73-51, but bounced back with consecutive wins to finish fifth.

Chloe Hayter contributes 9.7 ppg and 7.0 rpg. She is 16 points shy of becoming the 15th Heron to reach the 1,000-point plateau and the first since Kristen Kush '12 in 2011.
Roberts Wesleyan topped Geneseo 44-41 in the 2013 Wendy's College Classic championship game. The Herons have won the tournament title four times, last prevailing during the 1999-2000 season.
