Marco Ronning were named to the 2014 ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Soccer All-Star teams today. Both players garnered second team recognition.
Fox an All-Liberty League first team member, started in all 20 matches for the Statesmen this fall. He shared a team-high with five goals and added three assists to rank second on the team with 13 points. Fox logged the game-winning goal against Plattsburgh, St. John Fisher and Nazareth. He has played in 55 career games logging 13 goals and four assists for 30 career points.
A two-time captain, Ronning was also named to the All-Liberty League first team and the NSCAA Division III Men's All-East Region Third Team. He led the Statesmen in goals (5), assists (8) and points (18). He ranked third in the Liberty League in points, points per game (0.95), assists and assists per game (0.421). Ronning produced a Hobart record three assists in a 5-0 win over Lasell. He notched the game-winning goals against Geneseo, Bard and Union. Ronning posted a goal and an assist in Hobart's 2-1 win at RIT that secured the Statesmen a spot in the Liberty League tournament for the first time since 2011.
The Statesmen finished 2014 with a 12-5-3 overall record, notching their ninth consecutive winning season.
