The Hobart College football team travels to Dover, Delaware, to face Wesley College in the NCAA Division III Championship quarterfinal round on Saturday, Dec. 6. Kickoff at Scott D. Miller Stadium is scheduled for noon.

Hobart carries a 12-0 record into the game and is making its second appearance in the quarterfinals in three years. The Statesmen are ranked seventh in the nation in the AFCA coaches poll and ninth in the D3football.com top 25. Patrick Conlan's 1-yard TD plunge with 12.4 seconds remaining. In the second round, Hobart topped No. 6/7 Johns Hopkins 24-21, scoring the game-winning touchdown with 1:26 left on a 14-yard pass from Conlan to senior wide receiver

Jacob Stanley sealed the victory with an interception at his own 2 yard line with less than 10 seconds to go.

Wesley brings an 11-1 record into the quarterfinals, opening its playoff run with a 52-7 win over Hampden-Sydney and a 59-0 rout of MIT. The Wolverines are fourth in the D3football.com poll and fifth in the AFCA ranking. Wesley's lone loss was at Division I UNC Charlotte, a 38-33 setback.

The Wolverines are averaging 51.9 ppg and 493.0 yards of offense (191.8 rush/301.2 pass). Junior quarterback Joe Callahan directs the offense. The Gagliardi Trophy semifinalist has completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,435 yards and 43 touchdowns against just five interceptions. He's also rushed for 111 yards and four touchdowns. The Wolverines have four receivers with at least 35 receptions, led by senior wide receiver Steve Koudossou's 58 catches for 1,170 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the ground, sophomore running back Jamar Baynard has gained 762 yards and scored nine touchdowns.

Defensively, Wesley yields 9.8 ppg and 232.8 yards per game (69.3 rush/163.5 pass). Senior linebacker Sosthene Kapepula leads the team with 76 tackles. He also sports 9.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and three interceptions. Senior defensive end Aamir Petrose paces the Wolverines in tackles for loss (22.5) and sacks (12.0). Wesley is second in the nation with 26 interceptions. Senior cornerback Leon Jones leads the pick patrol with five.

The winner of Saturday's game will face the winner of John Carroll at Mount Union. The semifinals are slated for Saturday, December 13.
