The William Smith College squash team opened the Pioneer Valley Round Robin with a 6-3 win over Dickinson tonight in Amherst, Mass. The Herons improved to 8-1 overall this season.
 
Sophomore Michaelann Denton rallied for a 10-12, 4-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9 victory at the No. 2 spot. First-year Madison Bradley earned a win at No. 3 (11-8, 14-12, won due to injury). Junior Brooke Hayes registered a 5-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-9 victory at No. 5 and classmate Delaney Teceno topped her opposition 16-14, 6-11, 11-9, 11-2. Sophomore Anna Worcester won 12-10, 11-6, 11-9 at No. 7 and senior Justine Shank notched an 11-5, 11-6, 13-11 win at No. 8.
 
The Herons will be back in action tomorrow, Jan. 16, when it takes on Connecticut College and Haverford.
