GENEVA, N.Y.- The William Smith College swimming and diving team dropped a dual meet to Ithaca 162-79 in Bristol Pool this evening. With the loss, the Herons fall to 2-1 on the season.

William Smith was led by the trio of sophomore
Anna Leffler, and first-years
Emma Wilber and
Molly Egan. They teamed up with senior
Emily Haskins to finish second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:55.47. Leffler went on to win two individual events while Wilber and Egan each won one event and were second in another.

Leffler won the 200 individual medley by five seconds. Her time of 2:15.52 was the second fastest time in the history of Bristol Pool. She also touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke, stopping the clock at 1:01.71. She out touched Wilber by five-tenths of a second. Haskins was fourth, three seconds back. Wilber finished first in the 100 breaststroke, stopping the clock at 1:11.77, 33-hundredths of a second ahead of Ithaca's Ashley Warren. Egan's win came in the second individual event of the meet. She won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.31. Egan earned second place points in the 100 butterfly. First-year
Katie Neff was second in the 50 freestyle.

Ithaca won both diving events. Nickie Griesemer finished first on the 1-meter board with a score of 277.10. William Smith was led by
Ruby Verbitsky, who was fourth with a score of 135.70. Lindsey Suddaby, who was second on the 1-meter board, won the 3-meter competition with a score of 275.65. The Herons were led by first-year
Olivia Dellicicchi, who was fourth with a score of 139.90.

William Smith will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 11 when it travels to Cobleskill N.Y. The double dual meet with Cobleskill and Delhi is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
