The Hobart and William Smith Colleges sailing team competed in two regattas over the weekend, collecting a pair of top 10 finishes. Heron sailors highlighted the weekend with a fourth place finish at the St. Mary's Women's Interconference regatta.
 
In St. Mary's City, Md., William Smith finished the weekend with 188 points, nine ahead of fifth place Yale and 21 behind third place Brown. Sophomores Bailey Carter and Kate Homet and senior Christine Moloney represented the Herons in A Dvision, finishing fourth with 86 points. Homet competed as crew in races 1-9 while Moloney participated in races 10-13. They placed in the top 10 nine times and won the first two races. First-years Kate Cox and Jessica Lietz along with senior Erin Condon sailed in B Division for William Smith. They also combined for nine top 10 finishes, including a win in the seventh race.
 
The Colleges also competed in the Graham Hall Team in Annapolis, Md. HWS placed seventh out of 16 teams with an overall record of 9-6. Junior Greiner Hobbs, sophomore Charlie Miller, and first-year Hector Guzman served as skippers while sophomore Lindsey Kloc and first-years Anna Flaherty, Kyle Easton, and Maya Weber served as crew. In the Round Robin, HWS logged wins over MIT St Mary's College (Md.), Tufts, Bowdoin, George Washington, Fordham, Merchant Marine, Old Dominion, and Jacksonville. The Colleges missed out on the Top Six Round Robin by a single win. The Colonials, Polar Bears, and Navy all finished with a 10-5 overall records to advance. Boston College, Georgetown, and Yale also advanced to the final six.
 
The Colleges will be back on the water next weekend, March 25-26, for a pair of Regattas. HWS will be in New London, Conn. For the Friis Team Race hosted by Coast Guard and in Boston for the MAISA-NEISA Team Race hosted by Boston College.
