GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College football team will host the 111th meeting against the University of Rochester on Saturday, Oct. 13. The game between the Liberty League rivals will be the 12th played for the Centennial Cup, a trophy commissioned in 2007 to celebrate the 100th contest in a series that dates back to 1892.
Kickoff on Boswell Field at David J Urick Stadium is set for 12:05 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $2 for children (ages 12 and under).
The game will be broadcast on WEOS-FM (89.5/90.3). Fans can follow the game online with All-Access Video and Live Stats.
The game will also serve as the annual Tackles and Touchdowns for Ability Partners Foundation fundraiser. Since its founding in 2010 by offensive lineman Jarrid Blades '12, members of the Hobart football team have asked family, friends and fans to pledge $1 for every tackle and $7 for every touchdown the Statesmen score. Contributors can also make a flat rate donation.

All money raised will benefit Ability Partners Foundation, in support of the programs and services of CP Rochester, Happiness House and Rochester Rehabilitation. On Friday, members of the football team will visit Happiness House to play with and read to the children in the preschool program.
Since 2010, Tackles and Touchdowns has raised more than $40,000 for Ability Partners Foundation.
This year's fundraising effort is being led by junior offensive lineman
Micah Holloway.
"Happiness House gives the Hobart football team another way to interact with and be a part of the Geneva community," Holloway says. "It's great to hang out with the kids and get to know them. The teachers are great and we're happy to support their educational mission."
