GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College sophomore
Max Tulchinsky won the Cross Country Only Conference Championship by 4.7 seconds over junior
Josh Wasserman at Seneca Lake State Park this afternoon. The pair led the Statesmen to a second place finish in the team standings.
Tulchinsky covered the 8-kilometer course in 27:47.9 with Wasserman logging a time of 27:52.6. Tulchinsky's victory is the first by a Statesman since Ben Flanagan won the HWS Invitational on Oct. 31, 2009.

Shane Pursch (28:44.1) and junior
William Fletcher (29:05.8) were 11th and 13th, respectively. First-year
Andrew Broering rounded out Hobart's top 5, placing 26th in the 98-runner field with a time of 30:12.4.
With five runners in the top 10, Clarkson successfully defended its CCOC title. The Golden Knights beat the Statesmen by 12 points. D'Youville was a distance third, 74 points behind Hobart.
The Statesmen will race next at the Hamilton Short Course Tune Up on Saturday, Oct. 20.
