The William Smith College squash team will compete in the 2019 Liberty League Championship this weekend, Feb. 2-3, hosted by St. Lawrence University.

On Saturday, the Herons will take on Bard at 3 p.m. before facing Vassar at 6 p.m. William Smith will take on the hosts and defending conference champion Saints on Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Herons are 4-7 this season and ranked 26th in the latest College Squash Association team rankings. Junior

Vassar is No. 32 in the CSA Rankings. The Brewers are 7-8 this season. William Smith defeated Vassar 9-0 when the team's met in November. Julia Pollak leads the team with 10 wins. She is 5-0 in the No. 3 spot.

St. Lawrence is ranked 23rd in the nation. The Saints are 1-6 so far this season. Sanna Kolvumaki has played four matches in the No. 1 spot. She is 2-2 this season. Georgina Green leads the team with three wins.

Last year in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., William Smith defeated Bard and Vassar 9-0. In the championship match, St. Lawrence edged the Herons 5-4 to win the first Liberty League Championship since the 2009-10 season. Â
