The Hobart College football team, which is ranked 22nd in the coaches poll and 25th in the D3football.com poll, will host Montclair State University on Saturday, Sept. 28 on Boswell Field at David J Urick Stadium. The opening kickoff for the Homecoming and Family Weekend game is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Statesmen improved to 3-0 with last week's 20-17 victory over Rowan. Junior
Kyle Hackett drilled a 28-yard field goal as time expired to seal the victory for Hobart. The Statesmen scored the game's final 17 points, erasing a 17-3 deficit. Hackett was named the Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week. He was 2-for-2 on field goals and 2-for-2 on point after attempts. Ryan Hofmann attempted a Statesmen record-tying 59 passes, completing 26 for 380 yards and two touchdowns.
