The Hobart College cross country team was recently named a 2019 All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
 
Hobart was one of 172 teams in Division III that was honored. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. The Statesmen recorded a team GPA of 3.43.
 
William Fletcher and Josh Wasserman were honored for their individual academic achievements when they were named to the 2019 Liberty League All-Academic team.
 
Hobart recorded five top five finishes, including a win at the Alfred Invitational, and runner-up at the CCOC Championships, and the Hamilton Short Course Tuneup.
