FREDONIA, N.Y.—The William Smith College swimming & diving team won its season-opening meet 150-127 at SUNY Fredonia this afternoon.
Katie Mullin won two individual events and swam with the victorious 200-yard freestyle relay to lead the Herons.
"It was a wonderful feeling just stepping on the bus this morning with the team as we left campus," says Head Coach
R.C. Weston. "It's been a long time since we've had a chance to compete so we really tried to just soak in the experience. Our team's performance was exactly what we expected. The energy was high, the team was engaged, and the game plan was solid. We knew Fredonia had some really nice talent that was going to challenge us in nearly every race. We had some lifetime best swims and dives, and we are ready to get back to work on Monday."
