GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College Athletics Department recognized six student-athletes with the Joe Arntiz '66 Memorial Sportsmanship Award at the 2021 Block H Awards celebration.
The award honors the sportsmanship, teamwork and loyalty that marked the Hobart career of Joe Arnitz, co-captain of the 1965 Hobart football team and a lifelong secondary school teacher and coach. The Arnitz Award recognizes those who demonstrate proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect and a sense of fellowship with one's teammates and competitors. The award was endowed by Joe's teammates, classmates and friends as part of the Hobart Class of 1966's 50th Reunion.
