GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith College swimming and diving team will welcome Rochester Institute of Technology to Bristol Pool at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29. Prior to the start of the Herons' final dual meet of the season, William Smith will recognize the Class of 2022.
Spectators are asked to monitor their health and stay home if experiencing any COVID symptoms. All spectators, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear properly fitting masks while inside campus buildings.
The Herons have three seniors,
Katie Mullin,
Sarah Shields and
Olympia Canales. Mullin picked up three individual victories in last Saturday's 129-73 win over Cazenovia that improved William Smith to 4-1 in dual meets this season. Shields competed with the rowing teams before joining the swimming and diving team this season. A diver, Canales is not with the team this semester, focusing on her academics and a highly competitive film program she was selected to participate in.
RIT brings a 5-2 dual meet record to Geneva. The Tigers competed against Nazareth, Rochester and Geneseo in the RIT Invitational last week.
Since 2000, the teams have squared off 20 times with the Tigers holding a 15-5 series lead.
