The Hobart and William Smith Colleges sailing team competed at a pair of fall Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association championships this past weekend. The Colleges were in Ithaca, New York, for the War Memorial Regatta and William Smith sailors were in Kings Point for the MAISA Fall Women's.

HWS finished in the top 10 at both regattas. The Colleges were sixth at Cornell and ninth at King's Point.

WAR MEMORIAL
- Twelve races were sailed in each division in Ithaca. On Saturday, competitors got one race in before a cold front rolled through in the morning. The breeze switched to coming from the north settling in to a range of 12-17 knots. On Sunday there was a light northerly breeze.
- HWS finished the weekend with 165 points.
- Skippers Jeffrey Klempen and Juan Carlos Lacerda Jones and crew Cooper Delbridge and Rachel Duggan competed in B Division. They finished the weekend with 72 points, one behind St. Mary's College of Maryland. The group had nine top ten finishes and won two races.
- Will Murray competed as skipper in A Division with Frances Depke and Robert Breslin sailing as crew. They placed seventh with 93 points. They crossed the win in the top ten in all but two races.
- Georgetown won the regatta with 116 points.

MAISA WOMEN'S FALL DINGHY
- Fourteen races were contested in each division. On Saturday, Sailors competed in 77-degree temperatures in a5-8 knot breeze out of the west southwest. Sunday saw racers compete in 10-15 knot breeze with gusts up to 23 knots out of the northeast.
- William Smith finished the weekend with 209 points.
- The Herons were eighth in A Division with 110 points. Heather Kerns and Valyn Mogensen were in the top 10 in 11 races, including a second-place finish in the 10th race.
- Elizabeth Starck and Anna McBride sailed in B Division, finishing the weekend with 99 points. They were in the top 10 in 11 races and crossed the line first twice.
